Which companies in Florida sponsor visas for product lead roles?
Florida-based companies with a track record of sponsoring product talent include Chewy (Dania Beach), Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG) in Weston, Modernizing Medicine in Boca Raton, and Magic Leap in Plantation. Miami's fintech corridor, which includes companies like Yapily and Kaseya, also hires product leads internationally. Sponsorship patterns vary by company size and product team structure, so it's worth researching recent H-1B visa filings directly.
Which visa types are most common for product lead roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product lead roles in Florida, as these positions typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field like computer science, engineering, or business. Candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or STEM OPT sometimes transition through employer-sponsored H-1B petitions. Executives and intracompany transferees may also be eligible for L-1A visas depending on their situation.
How to find product lead visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters product lead roles in Florida by visa sponsorship willingness, saving you from sifting through listings where sponsorship is unavailable. You can search by city, industry, and visa type to find opportunities in Miami's fintech scene, Orlando's tech hubs, or Tampa's growing product teams. Migrate Mate also provides context on which employers have sponsored visas in the past.
Which Florida cities have the most product lead visa sponsorship opportunities?
Miami leads the state for product lead sponsorship activity, driven by its fintech, SaaS, and healthtech sectors. Orlando has a strong presence from simulation, defense tech, and hospitality technology companies, while Tampa's Bay Area hosts a growing cluster of mid-size tech companies actively hiring senior product talent. Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale also concentrate healthtech and enterprise software employers with product leadership needs.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for product leads pursuing visa sponsorship?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects how employers frame compensation packages, but prevailing wage requirements for H-1B positions are still set at the federal level based on the specific metro area and job classification. Miami, Orlando, and Tampa each fall under different DOL wage determinations for product-related SOC codes. Florida's proximity to Latin American markets also means bilingual product leads with Spanish fluency may find a wider range of sponsoring employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product lead jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
