Which companies sponsor visas for senior DevOps engineers in Florida?
Florida-based employers with a track record of sponsoring senior DevOps engineers include Chewy (headquartered in Dania Beach), Citrix (Fort Lauderdale), Raymond James (St. Petersburg), and AdventHealth (Orlando). Defense and aerospace contractors around Orlando and Tampa also file H-1B petitions for senior infrastructure and platform engineering roles, particularly for candidates with cloud and CI/CD specializations.
Which visa types are most common for senior DevOps engineer roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for senior DevOps engineers in Florida, as the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is renewable indefinitely. Candidates with multinational employer transfers may also be eligible for the L-1B.
Which cities in Florida have the most senior DevOps engineer sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads in sponsorship activity for senior DevOps roles, driven by fintech, e-commerce, and Latin American regional headquarters. Tampa and St. Petersburg have a strong financial services and healthcare technology presence. Orlando's defense simulation and hospitality technology sectors generate consistent demand. Fort Lauderdale, home to several enterprise software firms, is also a notable concentration point for this role.
How to find senior devops engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles that offer visa sponsorship, so you can search senior DevOps engineer openings in Florida without wading through positions that won't sponsor. The platform focuses on international candidates, meaning listings are curated for H-1B and other work visa eligibility. Filtering by Florida and seniority level lets you target employers already set up to sponsor this role.
Are there state-specific considerations for senior DevOps engineers seeking sponsorship in Florida?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects how employers structure compensation benchmarks used in Department of Labor prevailing wage determinations. The state's concentration of financial services and healthcare technology means many senior DevOps roles touch regulated data environments, so candidates with HIPAA-compliant infrastructure or financial platform experience have a stronger positioning. University pipelines from the University of Florida, University of Miami, and UCF also supply OPT candidates who later convert to H-1B.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored senior devops engineer jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
