Which companies sponsor visas for senior devops engineers in Colorado?
Established employers with a track record of H-1B sponsorship in Colorado include Lockheed Martin, Arrow Electronics, Centura Health, and Palantir Technologies. Cloud-focused companies in the Denver and Boulder tech corridors also sponsor regularly. Large enterprises tend to have dedicated immigration teams, which generally makes the sponsorship process more structured than at smaller startups.
Which visa types are most common for senior devops engineer roles in Colorado?
The H-1B is the most common visa for senior DevOps engineers in Colorado, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or STEM OPT can also work for sponsoring employers while an H-1B petition is pending. The O-1A is an option for engineers with demonstrated exceptional achievement.
Which cities in Colorado have the most senior devops engineer sponsorship jobs?
Denver accounts for the largest share of senior DevOps sponsorship activity in Colorado, driven by its concentration of technology firms, financial services companies, and government contractors. Boulder is a secondary hub, home to several high-growth SaaS and cybersecurity companies. Colorado Springs sees demand tied to defense and aerospace contractors, including those supporting nearby military installations.
How to find senior devops engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search senior DevOps engineer roles in Colorado without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform is built for international candidates and surfaces employers actively willing to file petitions. Filtering by Colorado and the senior DevOps category gives you a focused list of relevant, sponsorship-confirmed openings.
Are there any Colorado-specific considerations for senior devops engineers pursuing visa sponsorship?
Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers to disclose compensation ranges in job postings, which gives international candidates more transparency when evaluating whether an offer meets prevailing wage requirements for H-1B purposes. Colorado also has a pipeline of internationally trained engineers from the University of Colorado and Colorado State University, meaning sponsoring employers in the state are generally familiar with the process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored senior devops engineer jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
