Which companies in Georgia sponsor visas for project consultants?
Atlanta-headquartered and Atlanta-based firms are the most active sponsors for project consultant roles in Georgia. Deloitte, Accenture, IBM, Infosys, and Wipro have consistent H-1B visa sponsorship histories in the state. NCR Voyix, Cox Enterprises, and Delta Air Lines also hire project consultants and have sponsored work visas for qualifying roles. Consulting arms of the Big Four accounting firms maintain significant Atlanta offices and appear regularly in DOL disclosure data.
Which visa types are most common for project consultant roles in Georgia?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project consultant positions in Georgia, particularly for roles requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, engineering, or information systems. The L-1B (intracompany transferee with specialized knowledge) is also used by multinational firms like Accenture and IBM when transferring consultants from overseas offices into Georgia-based project teams. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management consultant roles.
Which cities in Georgia have the most project consultant sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the large majority of project consultant visa sponsorship activity in Georgia. Buckhead and Midtown Atlanta host dense concentrations of consulting firm offices, while the Perimeter Center corridor in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody is home to numerous corporate headquarters that hire project consultants. Outside metro Atlanta, Savannah has a smaller but growing consulting market tied to its port and logistics industries, though sponsorship volume there is significantly lower.
How to find project consultant visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is a dedicated job board for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S., and you can filter directly for project consultant roles in Georgia. This surfaces employers with documented sponsorship activity rather than requiring you to sort through listings where sponsorship status is unclear. Because consulting roles in Georgia cluster heavily around Atlanta's corporate and tech sectors, filtering by city alongside role title on Migrate Mate helps narrow results to the most relevant opportunities.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for project consultants in Georgia?
Georgia does not impose state-level licensing requirements specific to project consultants, which simplifies the sponsorship process compared to regulated professions. However, employers must meet the Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements for the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell metropolitan area, which is the wage determination zone covering most Georgia consulting jobs. Georgia Tech's pipeline of graduate students on OPT also shapes the local market, meaning employers in Atlanta are generally familiar with work authorization processes for international hires.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project consultant jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
