Kimley-Horn is looking for an experienced Revit Designer to join our Building Structures team in Woodstock, Georgia (GA)! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities:
- This individual will primarily be responsible for:
- structural design/drafting assignments requiring advanced working knowledge of structural design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques in building structural, site structural, and heavy structural elements in concrete, masonry, steel, and wood
- This person will develop technical drawings and plans using REVIT software
- The person in this position will make and quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity and may perform some multifaceted calculations
- Requires minimal supervision to perform day to day tasks
- Has knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changes
- Maintains drawing database
- May supervise and train REVIT staff
- Coordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control
- Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience OR
- High school diploma or equivalent and 8+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products
- Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Willingness to mentor and teach others
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
