Search Supply Chain Specialist Jobs in GeorgiaSupply Chain Specialist Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain specialists in Georgia?
Several large Georgia-based employers have a documented history of sponsoring work visas for supply chain roles. Home Depot, headquartered in Atlanta, regularly files H-1B petitions for supply chain and logistics positions. Delta Air Lines, Coca-Cola, and UPS also sponsor visa candidates for supply chain specialist roles. Georgia's port-driven economy around Savannah means international logistics firms like Maersk and DB Schenker have also hired sponsored candidates in the state.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain specialist roles in Georgia?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for supply chain specialists in Georgia, as these roles typically require at least a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates from Canada or Mexico may qualify for TN status under the NAFTA/USMCA engineer or management consultant categories. Those with extraordinary achievement in the field may explore the O-1A, though it requires substantial documentation.
Which cities in Georgia have the most supply chain specialist sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta concentrates the majority of supply chain specialist sponsorship opportunities in Georgia, driven by its dense cluster of Fortune 500 headquarters, airline operations, and distribution networks. Savannah is the second most active market, home to one of the busiest container ports on the East Coast, attracting logistics and procurement roles with international employers. Macon and Columbus have smaller but active manufacturing-tied supply chain hiring pipelines.
How to find supply chain specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify supply chain specialist roles in Georgia where employers are open to sponsoring international candidates. You can narrow results by location, filtering for Atlanta, Savannah, or other Georgia cities. Because sponsorship willingness is not always stated in standard job postings, using a platform like Migrate Mate that aggregates sponsorship-specific data saves significant research time.
Are there any Georgia-specific factors supply chain specialists should know before pursuing visa sponsorship?
Georgia's status as a major logistics hub, anchored by Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and the Port of Savannah, means demand for supply chain specialists with international trade or procurement expertise is consistently strong. Georgia Tech and other state universities produce a steady domestic pipeline, so sponsored candidates benefit from highlighting skills in areas like SAP, demand planning, or global supplier management that differentiate them. Employers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the specific metropolitan area where the role is located.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain specialist jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
