Which companies sponsor visas for finance business partners in Indiana?
Large multinationals headquartered or with significant Indiana operations are the most active sponsors for finance business partner roles. Eli Lilly, Cummins, and Salesforce have histories of sponsoring international finance professionals. Healthcare systems like Indiana University Health and Ascension also hire for these roles. Smaller regional firms sponsor far less frequently, so targeting Fortune 500 and large mid-market companies in Indiana is the more reliable path.
Which visa types are most common for finance business partner roles in Indiana?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for finance business partners in Indiana, as these roles typically require a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics and qualify as specialty occupations. Candidates already holding L-1 visa transfers from a multinational's overseas offices occasionally fill these positions at companies like Cummins. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose roles align with the economist or accountant categories under USMCA.
How to find finance business partner visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, making it straightforward to identify Indiana finance business partner roles where employers are open to sponsoring. Because these positions sit at the intersection of FP&A and business partnering, searching both terms on Migrate Mate helps surface the full range of relevant openings across Indianapolis and other Indiana metros where multinationals and large healthcare employers are actively hiring.
Which cities in Indiana have the most finance business partner sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the overwhelming majority of finance business partner sponsorship opportunities in Indiana. It's home to the state's largest corporate headquarters, including Eli Lilly and Salesforce's Midwest hub, as well as major healthcare networks. Columbus, Indiana, is worth noting for Cummins' global headquarters, which regularly hires finance professionals. Outside those two cities, sponsorship opportunities in Indiana are limited.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for finance business partners seeking visa sponsorship?
Indiana's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B positions in the Indianapolis metropolitan area reflect a competitive finance market, driven by the life sciences and advanced manufacturing sectors. Employers filing Labor Condition Applications must meet Department of Labor wage levels specific to the Indianapolis-Carmel-Anderson MSA. Indiana's large public university system, particularly Indiana University's Kelley School of Business and Purdue University, also produces a pipeline of international graduates who compete for these same sponsored finance roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance business partner jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
