Which technology companies in Indiana sponsor Green Card visas?
Several large Indiana employers have documented histories of sponsoring Green Cards for technology roles. These include Salesforce (Indianapolis hub), Eli Lilly and Company, Cummins, Anthem (now Elevance Health), and Indiana University Health's IT division. Defense contractor Raytheon and consulting firms with Indiana offices also appear in Department of Labor PERM filing records for technology positions.
Which cities in Indiana have the most technology Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the majority of Indiana's technology Green Card sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, health tech companies, and financial services firms. Bloomington sees activity tied to Indiana University and affiliated technology research organizations. Fort Wayne and Carmel have smaller but growing tech employer bases that have filed PERM applications for software and IT roles.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Indiana?
Roles most commonly sponsored under the EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based categories include software engineers, data scientists, systems architects, cybersecurity analysts, cloud infrastructure engineers, and IT project managers. These positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific technical field, which satisfies the specialty occupation and PERM educational requirements that underpin most employer-sponsored Green Card petitions.
How do I find technology Green Card sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by Indiana, Green Card sponsorship, and the technology industry to surface roles where employers have an established pattern of filing PERM labor certifications. Because most general job boards don't distinguish between visa types, Migrate Mate's sponsorship-specific filters save significant time when targeting permanent residency pathways at Indiana tech employers.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in technology?
Indiana does not have a state-level immigration program, so all Green Card sponsorship follows the federal PERM and I-140 process. One practical consideration is that Indiana's lower cost of living affects prevailing wage determinations, which can be lower than coastal markets. Employers still must pay DOL-certified prevailing wages, but the relative cost of living may make total compensation more competitive for international candidates compared to high-cost tech hubs.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card technology jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
