Which companies sponsor visas for manager - consulting roles in Indiana?
Large professional services firms and industry-embedded consultancies are the most consistent sponsors for manager-level consulting roles in Indiana. Deloitte, Accenture, and IBM have maintained Indiana offices with sponsorship history. Eli Lilly and other life sciences companies also sponsor internal consulting managers. Staffing and management consulting firms with Indianapolis operations have filed Labor Condition Applications for these roles in recent years.
Which visa types are most common for manager - consulting roles in Indiana?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for manager-level consulting roles in Indiana, as these positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specialized field such as business, engineering, or information systems. Candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT may also work in these roles before transitioning to H-1B visa sponsorship. The L-1A intracompany transferee visa applies when a manager transfers from a foreign affiliate of a multinational firm.
Which cities in Indiana have the most manager - consulting sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the large majority of manager-level consulting sponsorship activity in Indiana. The city hosts regional offices for major consulting firms and serves as headquarters for several Fortune 500 companies that maintain internal consulting functions. Fort Wayne and Bloomington see smaller volumes of activity, mostly tied to manufacturing advisory and university-adjacent consulting work. For most candidates, Indianapolis is the practical target market in this state.

Are there state-specific considerations for manager - consulting visa sponsorship in Indiana?
Indiana's consulting demand is closely tied to its manufacturing and life sciences base, so candidates with domain expertise in those industries tend to be more competitive for sponsored manager roles. The state does not impose additional licensing requirements for general management consultants. Employers filing H-1B petitions must meet the Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements for the Indianapolis or relevant metro area, which are determined by the specific job classification and experience level required.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored manager - consulting jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
