Which companies sponsor visas for operations project managers in Indiana?
Indiana's largest visa sponsors for operations project manager roles include Eli Lilly, Cummins, Salesforce, Roche Diagnostics, and Subaru of Indiana Automotive. These employers have established HR infrastructure to support H-1B and other work visa petitions. Manufacturing conglomerates and pharmaceutical companies in Indiana tend to have the most consistent sponsorship track records for operations-focused roles.
Which visa types are most common for operations project manager roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for operations project managers in Indiana, provided the role requires a specialized bachelor's degree in fields like industrial engineering, supply chain management, or business operations. Candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT may work for Indiana employers while an H-1B petition is pending. L-1B and TN visas apply in more specific circumstances depending on the employer and candidate's nationality.
How to find operations project manager visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters operations project manager jobs in Indiana by visa sponsorship availability, saving you from manually screening postings. You can browse roles by city, industry, and employer sponsorship history. This is particularly useful in Indiana where manufacturing and logistics roles are spread across Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and smaller industrial cities that are easy to overlook on general job platforms.
Which cities in Indiana have the most operations project manager sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis has the highest concentration of operations project manager sponsorship opportunities in Indiana, driven by its pharmaceutical, tech, and logistics sectors. Fort Wayne supports strong manufacturing-related operations roles, particularly in automotive and defense supply chains. Columbus, Indiana is worth noting for Cummins' global headquarters presence, where operations and project management hiring is consistent for international candidates.
Are there any Indiana-specific factors operations project managers should know before pursuing sponsorship?
Indiana's manufacturing and life sciences industries mean employers frequently require operations project managers to hold certifications like PMP or Lean Six Sigma, which can strengthen an H-1B petition by demonstrating specialized expertise. Indiana does not have state-level immigration programs, so sponsorship depends entirely on the employer. University pipelines from Purdue and Indiana University supply international candidates into operations roles, making those alumni networks particularly relevant for job seekers in this field.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations project manager jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
