Which companies in Indiana sponsor visas for procurement managers?
Indiana's largest visa sponsors for procurement and supply chain roles include Cummins, Eli Lilly, Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Cook Medical, and Steel Technologies. These manufacturers and life sciences employers file H-1B visa petitions for procurement managers with specialized expertise in global sourcing, supplier risk management, or category management. Large defense contractors with Indiana operations, such as Raytheon and BAE Systems, have also sponsored procurement roles.
What visa types are most common for procurement manager roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa for procurement managers in Indiana, particularly at manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies that regularly file petitions. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation when the position requires a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may also pursue TN visa status under the NAFTA/USMCA category for management consultants, which can cover certain procurement roles.
How to find procurement manager visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is the most efficient starting point, as it filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability and state, so you can browse procurement manager openings in Indiana without manually screening hundreds of postings. Focus your search on Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, where supply chain hiring is most concentrated. Targeting employers in automotive and pharmaceutical manufacturing will give you the strongest pool of companies with active sponsorship programs for procurement roles.
Which cities in Indiana have the most procurement manager sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis is Indiana's primary hub for procurement manager sponsorship, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters and distribution operations. Fort Wayne is a secondary market with strong manufacturing and logistics employers. Columbus, Indiana, home to Cummins' global headquarters, generates consistent procurement hiring. South Bend and Terre Haute have smaller but active supply chain job markets, often tied to automotive suppliers and regional manufacturing operations.
Are there any state-specific considerations for procurement managers seeking sponsorship in Indiana?
Indiana's economy is among the most manufacturing-intensive in the United States, which shapes what employers look for in sponsored procurement managers. Candidates with experience in just-in-time production environments, automotive supply chains, or pharmaceutical supplier qualification tend to be most competitive. Purdue University and Indiana University also produce supply chain graduates, so international candidates with advanced degrees from these institutions sometimes have existing employer relationships that smooth the sponsorship process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored procurement manager jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
