Which companies sponsor visas for project consultants in Indiana?
Eli Lilly, Salesforce, Cummins, Anthem (now Elevance Health), and Infosys are among Indiana employers with documented H-1B sponsorship activity for consulting roles. Consulting firms with Indiana offices, including Deloitte and Accenture, also sponsor project consultants. Sponsorship is most consistent at larger employers with established immigration infrastructure and recurring consulting project pipelines.
Which visa types are most common for project consultant roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project consultant roles in Indiana, as most positions require a relevant bachelor's degree and qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or engineering consulting categories. L-1 visa transfers are also possible for consultants moving within a multinational firm to an Indiana office.
Which cities in Indiana have the most project consultant sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis concentrates the majority of project consultant sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its life sciences, technology, and healthcare sectors. Carmel and Fishers, as Indianapolis suburbs with growing corporate campuses, also generate consulting openings. Fort Wayne supports manufacturing and industrial consulting roles, while South Bend has emerging opportunities tied to business services and regional development initiatives.
How to find project consultant visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters project consultant roles in Indiana specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces roles from employers with active H-1B filing histories in Indiana, which is particularly useful for project consultant positions where sponsorship eligibility can vary significantly by employer size and project type.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for project consultants seeking visa sponsorship?
Indiana's manufacturing and life sciences sectors drive consistent demand for project consultants with technical or operational backgrounds, which strengthens specialty occupation arguments for H-1B petitions. Purdue University and Indiana University produce engineering and business graduates who sometimes enter consulting through OPT, creating a pipeline employers are familiar with. Prevailing wage compliance is determined by the Indianapolis or Fort Wayne metropolitan area, depending on the work location.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project consultant jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
