Search Sales Jobs in IndianaSales Jobs in Indiana: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for sales roles in Indiana?
Eli Lilly, Salesforce, Cummins, and Roche Diagnostics have filed Labor Condition Applications for sales-related positions in Indiana. Medical device and pharmaceutical companies concentrated in Indianapolis are among the more consistent sponsors, as these roles often require specialized scientific or technical knowledge that supports a specialty occupation classification under the H-1B.
Which visa types are most common for sales roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa for sales roles in Indiana, particularly for positions requiring a specific bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field, such as pharmaceutical sales or software sales engineering. Canadian and Mexican nationals working in technical sales may qualify for the TN visa under the NAFTA/USMCA professional categories. General account manager or inside sales roles can be harder to classify as specialty occupations.
Which cities in Indiana have the most sales sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the largest share of sponsored sales roles in Indiana, driven by its concentration of life sciences, technology, and financial services employers. Fort Wayne has a smaller but active manufacturing and distribution sector with occasional sponsorship activity. Bloomington sees some demand tied to life sciences companies near Indiana University, and Carmel and Fishers, as Indianapolis suburbs, host several corporate headquarters that recruit for sales positions.
How to find sales visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate lists sales roles in Indiana filtered specifically for visa sponsorship, saving you the time of sorting through postings from employers who won't sponsor. You can browse by city or industry, which helps narrow your search to life sciences companies in Indianapolis or manufacturing firms in Fort Wayne. Filtering by sponsorship history gives you a realistic starting point for your outreach.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for international sales job seekers?
Indiana's life sciences sector, anchored by Eli Lilly and a network of medical device companies, creates demand for sales professionals with technical degrees, which strengthens the specialty occupation argument for H-1B sponsorship. Indiana University and Purdue University produce a pipeline of graduates that some employers prefer, but international candidates with equivalent foreign degrees are generally evaluated on the same criteria. Prevailing wage requirements apply statewide and vary by role title and county.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
