JOB DESCRIPTION
The superintendent is responsible for all aspects of field management on various construction projects which includes but not limited to: managing a crew of up to 12 employees, communication with owner’s representatives, managing subcontractors, plan reading, executing work schedule, quality control, and ensuring overall project safety. This individual must be highly organized, self-driven, responsible, and safety minded. Projects are located throughout the state of Iowa. Overnights may be required based on project location. Travel expenses are paid by company.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Past experience in bridge construction, concrete paving, or heavy civil construction
- Past leadership experience as a superintendent or foreman
- Valid driver’s license (Class A or B CDL is a plus)
- Willingness to travel around the state of Iowa
- Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet project demands
- Ability to operate construction tools and equipment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
