Which companies sponsor visas for product marketing managers in Kansas?
Garmin, headquartered in Olathe, is one of the more active sponsors in Kansas for marketing and product roles. Oracle Health (formerly Cerner) in Kansas City has also filed sponsorship petitions for professional positions. Wichita-based companies in aerospace and manufacturing, including Textron Aviation, occasionally sponsor for senior marketing roles, though sponsorship is not guaranteed and depends on the specific position and hiring cycle.
Which visa types are most common for product marketing manager roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product marketing managers in Kansas, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with a master's degree may pursue the H-1B cap-exempt master's cap allocation. The O-1A is an option for those with demonstrated exceptional achievement in their field, though it requires substantial evidence of distinction.
Which cities in Kansas have the most product marketing manager sponsorship jobs?
The Kansas City metro area, spanning both Kansas and Missouri sides, holds the highest concentration of product marketing manager roles in the state. Olathe and Overland Park within the Kansas portion are particularly active, driven by Garmin's headquarters and a growing technology corridor along the I-435 belt. Wichita is the second-largest market, primarily tied to aerospace, defense, and manufacturing companies that require product marketing expertise.
How to find product marketing manager visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship, making it easier to identify product marketing manager openings in Kansas without sorting through roles that don't support international candidates. You can search by role and state to surface positions at Kansas employers who have a track record of sponsoring work visas. This is more targeted than general job searches, which rarely surface sponsorship eligibility upfront.
Are there any state-specific considerations for product marketing managers seeking sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas does not have a state income tax on wages for this role that differs materially from federal obligations, but the cost of living in the Kansas City metro and Wichita is significantly lower than coastal tech hubs, which affects prevailing wage benchmarks under Department of Labor guidelines. Employers must pay the prevailing wage for the specific role and location, so Kansas-based offers are calibrated to local market rates rather than national figures. University of Kansas and Kansas State University produce graduates who sometimes enter sponsorship pipelines through OPT before employer H-1B filing.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product marketing manager jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
