Which companies sponsor visas for project management analysts in Kansas?
Employers with documented H-1B sponsorship history for project management analyst roles in Kansas include Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita, Oracle Health (formerly Cerner) in the Kansas City metro, and federal contractors operating near military installations like Fort Leavenworth. Large healthcare systems such as The University of Kansas Health System and consulting firms serving government contracts also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data for this role.
Which visa types are most common for project management analyst roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project management analysts in Kansas, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, engineering, or information systems. Candidates already holding F-1 OPT or STEM OPT authorization can work while an employer pursues H-1B sponsorship. The TN visa covers this role for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals under NAFTA/USMCA's management consultant category in some cases.
Which cities in Kansas have the most project management analyst sponsorship jobs?
The Kansas City metro area, particularly Overland Park and Lenexa on the Kansas side, has the highest concentration of project management analyst sponsorship activity due to its technology, healthcare IT, and consulting sectors. Wichita is the second-largest market, driven heavily by aerospace and defense manufacturing. Topeka and Lawrence generate smaller volumes, primarily through state government agencies and the University of Kansas.
How to find project management analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship, so you can search project management analyst roles in Kansas without sifting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces employers with active sponsorship intent in Kansas markets including the Kansas City metro and Wichita. Using Migrate Mate saves time by focusing your search on companies already willing to file H-1B or other work visa petitions for this role.
Are there state-specific considerations for project management analysts seeking sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas employers in aerospace and defense, particularly around Wichita, often require security clearance eligibility, which can complicate or limit sponsorship for some visa holders. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage determinations for project management analysts vary between the Kansas City metro and smaller Kansas markets, affecting the wage an employer must commit to in an H-1B petition. University of Kansas and Kansas State produce graduates who enter this pipeline, making Overland Park and Lawrence worth monitoring for entry-level sponsorship opportunities.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project management analyst jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
