Which companies in Kansas sponsor visas for supply chain managers?
Several large Kansas employers have sponsored supply chain manager roles in the past, including Cargill (agricultural commodities and food processing), Spirit AeroSystems (aerospace manufacturing in Wichita), Garmin (technology and electronics in Olathe), and Koch Industries (diversified manufacturing and distribution). Larger corporations with established HR and legal teams are generally more experienced with the H-1B petition process for management-level roles.
What visa types are most commonly used for supply chain manager roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for supply chain managers in Kansas, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, or a closely related field. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may also be eligible for the TN visa under the USMCA, which covers management consultants and certain engineering roles without requiring an employer petition through USCIS.
Which cities in Kansas have the most supply chain manager sponsorship jobs?
The Kansas City metro area (including Overland Park, Olathe, and Lenexa on the Kansas side) generates the highest concentration of supply chain manager sponsorship activity, driven by distribution, logistics, and technology employers. Wichita is the second most active market, anchored by aerospace and manufacturing companies. Topeka and Manhattan see occasional openings tied to government, agriculture, and university-linked operations.
How to find supply chain manager visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to roles where employers have a documented history of visa sponsorship, making it more efficient than broad job searches for supply chain manager positions in Kansas. You can filter by state and role to surface relevant openings in markets like the Kansas City metro and Wichita. Because sponsorship availability isn't always listed in job postings, using a sponsorship-focused platform like Migrate Mate saves significant time.
Are there any Kansas-specific considerations for supply chain manager sponsorship candidates?
Kansas employers filing H-1B petitions for supply chain managers must meet the Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements for the specific county and job level, which can differ notably between the Kansas City metro and smaller markets like Wichita or Topeka. Kansas State University and the University of Kansas produce supply chain graduates who occasionally enter the OPT-to-H-1B pipeline, so some Kansas employers are already familiar with sponsoring candidates transitioning from student status.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain manager jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
