Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain managers in Massachusetts?
Life sciences and biotech companies are among the most active sponsors, including Biogen, Takeda, Moderna, and Boston Scientific. Defense and aerospace firms like Raytheon Technologies and General Dynamics also file H-1B visa petitions for supply chain roles. Retail and distribution companies headquartered in Massachusetts, such as TJX Companies and Wayfair, have similarly sponsored supply chain managers through the H-1B program.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain manager roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for supply chain managers in Massachusetts, as the role typically requires at least a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or engineering, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with multinational employer backgrounds may also encounter L-1A intracompany transferee petitions. TN visa status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management classifications.
How to find supply chain manager visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate aggregates visa sponsorship jobs filtered by role and state, making it straightforward to browse supply chain manager openings specifically in Massachusetts without sifting through listings from employers who don't sponsor. You can filter by location and role to surface companies in Greater Boston, Worcester, and the Pioneer Valley that have active petitions or known sponsorship histories for supply chain positions.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most supply chain manager sponsorship jobs?
Greater Boston, including Cambridge and Waltham, accounts for the largest share of sponsored supply chain manager roles, driven by the concentration of life sciences, biotech, and technology employers. Worcester and the MetroWest corridor have a notable manufacturing and medical device presence. Springfield and the Pioneer Valley host distribution and industrial employers that periodically sponsor for supply chain management positions.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific factors supply chain managers should know about visa sponsorship?
Massachusetts employers sponsoring H-1B workers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements, which are benchmarked to the Boston-Cambridge-Nashua metropolitan area for most roles and tend to reflect the region's competitive hiring market. The state's strong university pipeline, including MIT, Northeastern, and UMass Amherst, means supply chain programs generate a steady pool of candidates familiar with sponsorship pathways, and many employers in the state have established immigration processes as a result.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain manager jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
