Which companies sponsor visas for data analysts in Kentucky?
Louisville-based employers lead Kentucky's data analyst sponsorship activity. Humana, one of the largest health insurers in the country, regularly sponsors analysts across its data and actuarial teams. Other notable sponsors include Kindred Healthcare, Norton Healthcare, and Tempur Sealy. Smaller analytics consultancies and financial services firms in Lexington have also filed sponsorship petitions, though at lower volumes than the major healthcare employers.
Which visa types are most common for data analyst roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for data analysts in Kentucky, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, computer science, or mathematics. Some employers also sponsor the O-1A for candidates with demonstrated research distinction. Australian nationals may pursue the E-3 visa, which carries no lottery and allows faster placement.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most data analyst sponsorship jobs?
Louisville accounts for the majority of data analyst sponsorship activity in Kentucky, driven by its concentration of healthcare and insurance employers. Lexington is the secondary market, with sponsorship coming from the University of Kentucky, manufacturing firms, and regional financial services companies. Frankfort and Covington have a smaller presence, primarily through state government contractors and companies with ties to the Cincinnati metro market across the river.
How to find data analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles open to visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to search data analyst openings in Kentucky without sifting through positions that exclude international candidates. You can filter by state and role type to surface relevant listings from healthcare, logistics, and financial services employers actively hiring in Louisville and Lexington. Migrate Mate's board is updated regularly and focused exclusively on sponsorship-eligible roles.
Are there any Kentucky-specific factors that affect data analyst visa sponsorship?
Kentucky's data analyst market is heavily shaped by the healthcare sector, so analysts with experience in claims data, electronic health records, or actuarial modeling are particularly sought after by Louisville-area sponsors. The University of Kentucky and University of Louisville produce a stream of graduate-level talent in data science, which means employer expectations around technical skills are calibrated to that pipeline. Prevailing wage requirements apply statewide, and the applicable wage level is determined by the specific role's duties and the employer's location.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data analyst jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
