Which companies sponsor visas for data management analysts in Kentucky?
Louisville-based employers are the most active sponsors for data management analyst roles in Kentucky. Humana has a consistent record of H-1B visa filings for data and analytics positions, as does Kindred Healthcare. The University of Kentucky and University of Louisville sponsor cap-exempt H-1B petitions for qualifying roles. Regional healthcare systems like Norton Healthcare and insurance firms also appear in Department of Labor LCA disclosure data for this role category.
Which visa types are most common for data management analyst roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B is the primary visa category for data management analyst positions in Kentucky, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Candidates already holding F-1 OPT or STEM OPT authorization can work while an H-1B petition is pending. Universities in Kentucky may also sponsor cap-exempt H-1B petitions for positions directly affiliated with those institutions.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most data management analyst sponsorship jobs?
Louisville accounts for the largest share of data management analyst sponsorship activity in Kentucky, driven by its concentration of healthcare companies, financial services firms, and logistics operators. Lexington is the second most active market, anchored by the University of Kentucky and a growing technology sector. Frankfort, as the state capital, generates some demand through government contractors and state agency vendors, though volume there is considerably lower than in the two major metros.
How to find data management analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters data management analyst jobs in Kentucky by visa sponsorship history, so you're not sifting through listings from employers who have never sponsored. You can search by role and state, and the platform surfaces companies with verified H-1B filing records. This saves significant time compared to manually checking Department of Labor disclosure data for each employer you come across in your search.
Are there any Kentucky-specific factors that affect data management analyst sponsorship?
Kentucky's data management analyst market is heavily shaped by its healthcare industry, which means many sponsoring employers are familiar with the H-1B process through recurring filings for clinical and analytics staff. The state's two flagship universities create a pipeline of OPT candidates, which has increased employer familiarity with work authorization requirements. Prevailing wage compliance is determined by the Louisville or Lexington metropolitan statistical area depending on the work location, and employers must file a Labor Condition Application reflecting those regional wage levels.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data management analyst jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
