Which companies in Washington sponsor visas for data management analysts?
Microsoft, Amazon, and Boeing are among the most consistent sponsors of data management analyst roles in Washington, based on Department of Labor LCA disclosure data. Expedia, T-Mobile, and Tableau (now part of Salesforce) have also filed sponsorship petitions for data-related positions in the state. Larger technology and aerospace employers tend to have dedicated immigration teams that handle H-1B filings regularly.
Which visa types are most common for data management analyst roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for data management analysts in Washington, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, or data engineering. Candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT extension can work in the role while an employer pursues H-1B sponsorship. The O-1A is an option for those with exceptional achievements in the data field.
Which cities in Washington have the most data management analyst sponsorship jobs?
Seattle accounts for the largest share of data management analyst sponsorship activity in Washington, given its concentration of technology, healthcare, and logistics employers. Redmond and Bellevue on the Eastside are also significant hiring centers, driven largely by Microsoft's campus in Redmond and a growing cluster of mid-size tech firms in Bellevue. Smaller volumes of sponsorship activity appear in Tacoma and Kirkland.
How to find data management analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to employers willing to sponsor visas, which removes the guesswork of identifying sponsorship-friendly companies yourself. For data management analyst roles in Washington, you can search by state and role on Migrate Mate to see active openings from employers with a documented history of H-1B filings. Sorting by Seattle or Bellevue will narrow results to the highest-density hiring markets in the state.
Are there state-specific considerations for data management analysts seeking sponsorship in Washington?
Washington has no state income tax, which affects how prevailing wage comparisons are structured relative to other tech states, though the underlying DOL prevailing wage requirements still apply. The University of Washington's Information School and Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science produce a large share of international graduates who enter the data management field locally, meaning employers in Seattle are accustomed to sponsoring international candidates. Competition for sponsorship roles is high given the concentration of qualified applicants in the region.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data management analyst jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
