Responsibilities
- Installation and Setup: Assist in the installation of telecommunications equipment, including cables, routers, switches, and other hardware at customer sites and network facilities.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on telecom infrastructure, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and meets company standards.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with telecom equipment and networks. Work with senior technicians to resolve more complex problems.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct tests on installed and repaired systems to verify functionality and performance. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers during service calls, providing updates and ensuring their needs are met. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Submit reports to supervisors as required.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications or an associate degree in telecommunications, electronics, or a related field is a plus.
Experience: 2-5 years of experience with XCAL and if has done CW testing before (have experience with using CW TX, spectrum analyzer).
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of telecom systems, including cabling, routers, and switches. Familiarity with tools and equipment used in telecom installations and repairs.
Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work through issues methodically.
Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and in various weather conditions. Willingness to travel to different job sites as needed.
Driver’s License:* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
