Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking an In-House/Field Technician.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs a wide variety of skilled mechanic duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and modify mechanical equipment and facilities.
- You will use a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments.
- Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical equipment and systems requiring the isolation of the malfunction, disassembly of equipment and repair/replacement of bearings, gears, structural components, etc.
- You will perform preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems.
- Specific responsibilities include: Safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, boiler systems, valves and the ability to perform equipment alignments.
- Plan and execute maintenance tasks, and completion of all follow-up documentation.
- You will complete some repairs of mechanical piping systems including threaded and welded pipe systems.
- Complete and document maintenance activities associated with predictive and corrective maintenance activities in computerized maintenance database.
- Other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- You have a high school diploma/GED required.
- 3 - 5 years of equipment maintenance experience in chemical manufacturing setting preferred.
- Knowledgeable in OSHA Process Safety Management Program elements including Mechanical Integrity, Management of Change, Operating Procedure Elements.
- You have an understanding of welding techniques.
- Knowledge of high pressure piping systems.
- Knowledge of cryogenic pumps and systems.
- You have a basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
- Computer skills including Microsoft applications.
