Expected salary range of $153,900 to $171,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Responsibilities
Primary Purpose of Position
Lead and develop the project and program management discipline within IT by providing leadership, coaching, and oversight to project managers, while ensuring the successful delivery of business outcomes through effective management of resources, finances, scope, and services. Oversee large, complex, cross-functional programs as needed, delivering solutions on time and within budget. Establish and strengthen client relationships, contribute to IT strategy and policy development, and drive consistency, governance, methodologies, tools, best practices, and knowledge sharing across the IT delivery organization.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
- Lead and develop project managers by providing coaching, direction, oversight, and accountability to improve delivery execution and consistency.
- Oversee large, complex programs when needed, managing multiple project managers and driving successful outcomes across key initiatives.
- Build and mature the PMO discipline by establishing standards, governance, tools, best practices, knowledge sharing, and consistent delivery across IT teams.
- Establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with business and IT partners.
- Evaluate performance and provide coaching for IT personnel. Participate in career development and succession planning processes. Promote diversity and foster teamwork, collaboration, and a learning organization. Provide input on development and retention processes for IT employees.
- Lead and manage IT projects and associated system integrators to deliver projects of medium to high complexity.
- Lead and manage IT staff and resources in accordance with IT Business Plan.
- Maintain current business knowledge/acumen, including application of technology solutions to deliver business results.
- Operate utilizing standard processes as defined within the Management Model where applicable.
- Oversee process improvement efforts and ensure adoption of standard processes and procedures that deliver sustainable top quartile cost and performance levels.
- Plan and manage scope, schedule, and budget for defined deliverables in accordance with IT project management standards. For operations/application maintenance: Plan and manage to defined service level agreements at agreed upon budgets.
- Prepare and manage budget for area of responsibility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- 8 years of relevant experience, in lieu of bachelor's degree an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Experience managing budgets for functional area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of business practices and processes related to role
- Experience leading and managing IT projects or sub teams and knowledge of IT project management
- Ability to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences including investigators, senior management, team members and others
- PMP certification preferred for specific roles as per guidelines established by the IT Project Management Office.
- Experience leading and managing technical projects and personnel
