Which companies sponsor visas for account associates in Massachusetts?
Financial services firms are among the most active sponsors for account associate roles in Massachusetts. State Street, Fidelity Investments, and Wellington Management have consistent hiring track records in this category. Biotech and life sciences companies along the Route 128 corridor, including Biogen and Takeda, also sponsor account associates who support client and partner relationships. Sponsorship activity varies by year and hiring cycle, so checking current job postings directly is essential.
Which visa types are most common for account associate roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa for account associate positions in Massachusetts, particularly where the role requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field and the job duties meet the specialty occupation standard. The L-1B is relevant for intracompany transferees moving into account associate roles at multinational firms with Massachusetts offices. TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business-related occupations.
How to find account associate visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters account associate job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability and state, making it straightforward to identify Massachusetts employers actively hiring international candidates. Rather than sorting through general postings manually, you can browse account associate roles in Boston, Cambridge, and surrounding areas knowing sponsorship is already part of the employer's hiring profile. Creating a Migrate Mate profile lets you track new openings as they appear.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most account associate sponsorship jobs?
Boston is the primary hub, driven by its concentration of financial services, healthcare, and technology employers. Cambridge attracts account associate roles tied to biotech and university-affiliated organizations. Waltham and Burlington, both along the Route 128 technology corridor, also see consistent account associate hiring from mid-size and enterprise technology companies. Worcester has a smaller but growing presence, largely tied to healthcare system employers and regional financial institutions.
Are there state-specific considerations for account associates seeking visa sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts employers filing H-1B petitions must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the specific metropolitan area, which in the Boston-Cambridge metro tends to reflect a competitive market rate. The state's dense university network, including MIT, Harvard, and Boston University, creates a strong pipeline of OPT-eligible candidates, meaning many employers are already familiar with sponsoring international talent for account associate and related client-facing roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored account associate jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
