Which companies sponsor visas for HR coordinators in Massachusetts?
Large employers with established HR departments and immigration infrastructure are the most likely sponsors. In Massachusetts, this includes major healthcare systems like Mass General Brigham and Beth Israel Deaconess, life sciences companies such as Biogen and Takeda, and universities like Harvard and MIT. These organizations have dedicated HR teams familiar with sponsoring H-1B and other work visas for administrative and people operations roles.
Which visa types are most common for HR coordinator roles in Massachusetts?
H-1B is the most common visa for HR coordinators in Massachusetts, though eligibility depends on whether the specific role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as human resources, business administration, or organizational psychology. Some candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or STEM OPT may also be hired before an employer pursues H-1B sponsorship through the annual lottery.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most HR coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Greater Boston, including Cambridge, Somerville, and Waltham, accounts for the largest share of HR coordinator positions in Massachusetts. The concentration of hospitals, biotech employers, and higher education institutions in this region drives demand. Worcester is a secondary market with healthcare and university employers, while smaller markets like Springfield and Lowell have fewer sponsorship opportunities for this role type.
How to find hr coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters HR coordinator roles in Massachusetts by visa sponsorship eligibility, saving significant research time. Rather than manually reviewing hundreds of job postings, you can browse verified sponsorship-eligible positions at employers across Greater Boston and beyond. Filtering by role type and state on Migrate Mate surfaces companies actively hiring HR coordinators who have a demonstrated history of visa sponsorship.
Are there any state-specific considerations for HR coordinator visa sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts employers filing H-1B petitions for HR coordinators must meet the Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements for the Boston metropolitan area, which are benchmarked against local market data and tend to reflect the higher cost of living in the region. The state's deep university pipeline, particularly from programs at Northeastern, UMass, and Boston University, means employers are accustomed to hiring international graduates and navigating OPT-to-H-1B transitions in HR roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored hr coordinator jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
