Which companies sponsor visas for HR coordinators in Texas?
Large employers with significant Texas operations are the most consistent sponsors for HR coordinator roles. These include ExxonMobil and Shell in Houston, AT&T and American Airlines in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Dell Technologies and Apple in Austin, and major healthcare systems like HCA Healthcare and Texas Health Resources. Multinational corporations with regional headquarters in Texas tend to have established HR and immigration infrastructure that supports sponsorship.
Which visa types are most common for HR coordinator roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for HR coordinators in Texas, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a closely related field. Some candidates also qualify under the TN visa if they are Canadian or Mexican nationals and the role meets the relevant occupational category. L-1B visas occasionally apply when a candidate is transferring within a multinational employer that has Texas offices.
Which cities in Texas have the most HR coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads the state for HR coordinator sponsorship volume, given the concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and large regional employers. Houston is a strong second, particularly in energy, petrochemicals, and healthcare. Austin has grown significantly as a sponsorship market due to the influx of tech companies establishing offices there. San Antonio also offers opportunities, primarily through defense contractors, healthcare networks, and financial services firms.
How to find hr coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and lets you filter HR coordinator roles by state, so you can focus on Texas employers who have a demonstrated history of sponsoring. Rather than sorting through general job boards, Migrate Mate surfaces positions where sponsorship is a stated or known part of the hiring process, which saves significant time when targeting HR coordinator openings in cities like Dallas, Houston, and Austin.
Are there state-specific considerations for HR coordinator sponsorship in Texas?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since compensation packages are structured differently than in high-tax states. For H-1B purposes, employers must still meet the Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements for the specific metropolitan area, and wages differ between Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Austin designations. Texas also has a large university system, including UT Austin and Texas A&M, which creates a pipeline of F-1 OPT candidates that some employers hire before pursuing H-1B sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored hr coordinator jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
