As an R&D Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting active research and development projects and day-to-day laboratory operations. This entry-level role is designed to build your skills in experimental design, data collection, analysis, and technical documentation while contributing to innovation and product development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with laboratory experiments, including preparation, setup, testing, and accurate data recording.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data under the guidance of R&D scientists and project leads.
- Support the development, validation, and optimization of new or existing products, processes, and methodologies.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory, records, and documentation in alignment with safety, quality, and compliance standards.
- Prepare technical summaries, reports, and presentations to communicate results and project progress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Quality, Operations, and Product Management, and perform related research or administrative tasks to support R&D initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Engineering, or a closely related scientific field.
- Foundational understanding of laboratory techniques and scientific principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and follow established protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain precise, organized documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Ability to work safely in a laboratory environment, following all safety procedures and guidelines.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Prior experience in a laboratory setting (academic or industry).
- Familiarity with data analysis tools or laboratory software.
- Knowledge of GLP, GMP, or other relevant regulatory standards.
- Experience with instrumentation such as PCR, spectrophotometry, or chromatography.
