Job Summary:
As a ME or EE or CS Intern at LGESMI you will be working directly with our team of Engineers and will be working on projects that will offer the opportunity to learn general battery production process; understand battery materials – strength and composition.
This position will be responsible for work that includes:
- Work closely with engineers in our Advanced Automotive Battery Division on product enhancement and new product development
- Interface with team members in the plant and office, as well as external suppliers, contractors, etc.
- Evaluate existing procedures for opportunities to improve product design and manufacturability
- Participate in Continuous Improvement projects
- Develop procedures, forms, checklists, and schedules to support process development and improvement
- Research new technologies, equipment, supplies to help improve the operation
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering - Junior or Senior
- Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 GPA or higher
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to new tasks and projects
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
- Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goals
