Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year

We are seeking an Audit & Assurance Accountant to join our growing team. This individual will work closely with firm leadership and clients to support audit and assurance engagements while gaining exposure to a variety of industries and business environments. We are a well-established and growing public accounting and advisory firm serving privately held businesses, nonprofits, municipalities, and organizations throughout Southwest Michigan. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality audit, assurance, tax, and consulting services while maintaining a collaborative, people-first culture. JOB DETAILS

Responsibilities:

- Participate in audit and assurance engagements for a diverse client base
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting documentation
- Assist with planning, fieldwork, testing, and completion of engagements
- Analyze financial information and identify areas of risk
- Communicate with clients and build trusted business relationships
- Collaborate with partners and team members to deliver exceptional client service
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives
- Stay current on accounting and auditing standards

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification
- Approximately 2-4 years of public accounting experience
- Audit and assurance experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Self-starter mentality with strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
