Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Which staffing companies sponsor TN visas in California?
National staffing firms with a strong California presence, including Insight Global, Apex Group, Kforce, and TEKsystems, have placed TN-eligible professionals into client roles across the state. These firms typically manage the TN documentation process on behalf of their clients, making them practical options for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking contract or direct-hire placements in California's tech, engineering, and life sciences sectors.
Which cities in California have the most staffing TN sponsorship jobs?
San Francisco and the broader Bay Area lead for tech-focused staffing placements, given the concentration of software and engineering clients. Los Angeles is active across entertainment, healthcare, and business services staffing. San Diego sees consistent demand for life sciences and biotech contract roles. Sacramento and the Inland Empire have a smaller but steady volume of staffing placements, particularly in logistics, government contracting, and healthcare.
What types of staffing roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility in staffing depends on whether the role falls within one of the designated USMCA occupational categories. In California's staffing market, commonly placed qualifying roles include software engineers, systems analysts, accountants, scientific technicians, and management consultants. The position must require, and the candidate must hold, at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a directly related field. General administrative or non-specialty roles typically do not qualify.
How do I find staffing TN sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for TN-eligible professionals and filters listings by visa type, state, and industry. Searching for staffing roles in California on Migrate Mate surfaces employers who have indicated TN sponsorship willingness, saving significant time compared to manually contacting firms. Filtering by the staffing and recruiting category in California will show you contract, contract-to-hire, and direct placement opportunities with TN-aware employers.
Are there any California-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in staffing?
California staffing arrangements often involve a third-party client site where day-to-day work takes place, which is standard for contract roles. The TN petition or border presentation documents the staffing firm as the employer of record, not the end client, so the offer letter and support letter must accurately reflect that structure. California's worker classification laws are among the strictest in the country, so many firms opt for a W-2 employment model rather than independent contractor arrangements for TN holders.
