Are you an Electrical Engineer looking to join a team of new product innovators who specialize in partnering with the world’s top neuro and spine surgeons to revolutionize patient outcomes?
Our global team is looking for a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer who is passionate about pushing the boundaries of what is possible by collaborating across the globe with other world-class engineers.
In this role, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team where you will be tasked with owning the electrical hardware design for complex handheld powered devices used in cranial and spinal procedures.
What You Will Do
- Lead the design, development, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, subsystems, and components for medical devices.
- Apply advanced electrical engineering principles to create innovative, reliable, and compliant product designs.
- Translate user, clinical, and business needs into system requirements, specifications, and architectural designs.
- Drive prototyping, verification, validation, and testing strategies while resolving complex technical challenges.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and influence their integration into future product development efforts.
- Make critical design tradeoff decisions and contribute to intellectual property through patents, disclosures, and trade secrets.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management to deliver successful products.
- Lead customer-centric design activities, including Voice of Customer initiatives, while leveraging market, competitive, and clinical insights.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on medical device regulations, industry standards, design controls, and technical documentation.
What You Need (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in EE or related discipline & 6+ years of work experience
Preferred Qualifications (Strongly Desired)
- Ability to lead or teach electrical engineers in electrical design
- Advanced understanding of the design of complex components and sub-systems
- Ability to apply advanced circuit and electrical system test methods
- Advanced understanding of manufacturing and testing methods
- Ability to apply standard technologies used in industry
- Ability to perform complex electrical stackups
- Advanced understanding of statistical methods
- Advanced knowledge of sub-system, system, and environmental interactions
Compensation
- Salary Range: $102,600 - $171,000 USD Annual
