Which medical devices companies sponsor TN visas in Oregon?
Several established medical devices companies in Oregon have a history of sponsoring TN visas for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals. Stryker, Medtronic, and Integra LifeSciences maintain operations in the Portland area and have hired TN workers in engineering and scientific roles. Smaller contract manufacturers and device testing firms in the Willamette Valley also periodically sponsor TN positions, particularly for roles requiring specialized technical or biomedical credentials.
Which cities in Oregon have the most medical devices TN sponsorship jobs?
Portland and its surrounding metro area, including Beaverton and Hillsboro, account for the largest share of medical devices employment in Oregon. These communities host the state's highest concentration of life sciences and advanced manufacturing facilities. Eugene and Corvallis also have medical devices employers tied to university research ecosystems, though job volume there is lower than in the Portland metro.
What types of medical devices roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility in medical devices depends on both the role and the applicant's credentials. Engineers with degrees in biomedical, mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering commonly qualify. Scientific roles in quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and research and development are also eligible when the position requires a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. General manufacturing or production operator roles typically do not meet the TN specialty occupation standard.
How do I find medical devices TN sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN-eligible candidates and filters job listings by visa type, industry, and state, so you can browse medical devices TN sponsorship jobs in Oregon directly without sifting through postings that don't apply to you. Focusing your search on companies with Oregon operations in biomedical engineering, quality systems, or R&D gives you the strongest match for TN-qualifying roles.
Are there any Oregon-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in medical devices?
Oregon's medical devices sector intersects heavily with the state's semiconductor and advanced manufacturing base, meaning some employers hire across both industries and may have existing infrastructure for TN sponsorship. Oregon does not impose state-level immigration requirements beyond federal standards, but roles in regulated device categories may require demonstrated familiarity with FDA quality system regulations, which is worth addressing clearly in your application materials and at the port of entry.
