Search Construction Jobs in OregonConstruction TN Sponsorship Jobs in Oregon: Frequently Asked Questions
Which construction companies sponsor TN visas in Oregon?
Large general contractors and civil engineering firms operating in Oregon, including companies like Hoffman Construction, Skanska, and Mortenson, have histories of sponsoring skilled foreign workers for technical roles. Infrastructure-focused employers working on public projects, transportation, and commercial development in the Portland metro and Central Oregon regions are among the more active sponsors of TN visa-eligible positions.
Which cities in Oregon have the most construction TN sponsorship jobs?
Portland and its surrounding metro area account for the largest share of construction TN sponsorship activity in Oregon, given its concentration of commercial development, infrastructure projects, and large engineering firms. Bend has seen significant growth tied to residential and commercial expansion, while Eugene and Salem offer opportunities tied to public works and university-affiliated construction projects.
What types of construction roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship in Oregon?
TN visa eligibility in construction is limited to roles that appear on the USMCA professional category list. Engineers, including civil, structural, and geotechnical engineers, are the most common qualifying roles. Architects and urban planners also qualify. General labor, site supervision without a qualifying degree, and project management roles that don't require a specific listed professional credential typically do not meet TN requirements.
How do I find construction TN sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN-eligible professionals searching for visa-sponsored roles. You can filter by state, visa type, and industry to surface construction TN sponsorship jobs in Oregon directly, without sorting through listings from employers who don't sponsor. Searching through a platform designed for this narrows your focus to employers who have indicated willingness to work with TN candidates.
Are there state-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in Oregon's construction industry?
Oregon requires professional engineers and architects to hold state licensure through the Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying or the Oregon State Board of Architect Examiners. Canadian and Mexican TN holders in those professions will generally need to obtain Oregon licensure to practice legally, which is a separate process from the TN visa approval itself and should factor into your job search timeline.
