DPR Construction is hiring two Senior Project Accountants to join its core construction team and support some of Texas' most complex and high-profile projects. This is an outstanding opportunity for a construction accounting professional with 4-6 years of experience to partner directly with leadership and provide critical financial insights that drive project success. In this highly visible role, you will take ownership of project financial performance, oversee key accounting processes, and help guide strategic decisions that impact profitability and operational excellence.

JOB SUMMARY

Delivers comprehensive financial oversight for projects by ensuring accurate accounting, timely reporting, and adherence to organizational standards. Supports project success by analyzing moderately complex financial data, identifying risks based on precedent, and recommending solutions to maintain budgetary alignment. Enhances decision-making by preparing clear, actionable financial reports and analytics. Strengthens organizational performance by driving continuous improvement in project accounting processes and controls. Influences project accounting leading practices by collaborating across teams and providing guidance to peers and less experienced team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages moderately complex project accounting activities with large-scope, including budget tracking, cost analysis, and revenue recognition, to ensure financial accuracy.

• Reviews project budget, costs, reports, and forecasts based on independent judgment and comprehensive project accounting experience.

• Analyzes the financial performance of projects by identifying variances and recommending corrective actions to maintain project profitability.

• Collaborates with project teams to resolve moderately complex or varied accounting issues and support project delivery.

• Ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies in all project financial activities.

• Supports less experienced team members in resolving moderately complex project accounting issues and provides technical expertise on project accounting guidelines and processes.

• Implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in project accounting operations.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE

4 - 6 years of experience in project accounting, financial management, or a related field preferred.

ANTICIPATED STARTING PAY RANGE

$77,259.00 - $112,850.00
