- Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings.
- Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries or transfer calls.
- Make dining reservations and maintain electronic data.
- Operate cash registers to accept payments for food and beverages.
- Greet and communicate to patrons, provide menus, take orders, enter orders in the POS systems, cash handling and proper sales documenting, maintain stock of foods and drinks, and maintain a professional demeanor and always complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
- May be required to take alcoholic drink orders, mix and serve drinks to patrons.
- Set and clear tables for service, maintaining sanitation and cleanliness standards.
- May include some outdoor venue service and pool service such as serving, food running or other roles associated with outdoor F&B operation.
