Which companies sponsor visas for pharmacists in Nebraska?
Nebraska Medicine and Bryan Health in Omaha and Lincoln are among the most active sponsors for pharmacist roles in the state. CHI Health and regional health systems also have sponsorship histories. Retail pharmacy chains with Nebraska operations have sponsored pharmacists through H-1B petitions as well. Department of Labor LCA disclosure data is the most reliable way to confirm which employers have filed recently.
Which visa types are most common for pharmacist roles in Nebraska?
The H-1B is the most common visa for pharmacists in Nebraska, as the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree. Employers must file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor before sponsoring. Some internationally trained pharmacists pursue TN visa status if they hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship, provided they meet NABP licensure requirements.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most pharmacist sponsorship jobs?
Omaha accounts for the largest share of pharmacist sponsorship activity in Nebraska, driven by its concentration of hospital systems, specialty clinics, and long-term care facilities. Lincoln is the second most active market, with university-affiliated health services and regional medical centers. Rural Nebraska communities also post pharmacist openings, though sponsorship for those positions is less common than at larger health systems.
How to find pharmacist visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have a sponsorship history, making it easier to identify pharmacist openings in Nebraska without sorting through positions that don't offer visa support. You can search by state and role to see current listings from Nebraska health systems, hospital networks, and pharmacy groups that have sponsored H-1B or green card petitions for pharmacists.
Are there state-specific considerations for pharmacists seeking visa sponsorship in Nebraska?
Nebraska requires pharmacists to hold a valid license from the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services before practicing. For internationally trained pharmacists, this involves passing NAPLEX and MPJE exams and meeting FPGEE requirements if the degree is from a non-ACPE-accredited program. Employers sponsoring H-1B petitions must pay the prevailing wage determined by the Department of Labor for the Omaha or Lincoln wage area, depending on the work location.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored pharmacist jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
