Which companies sponsor visas for project management consultants in New Hampshire?
Defense and aerospace contractors in the Nashua area, including BAE Systems and Raytheon, have consistent histories of H-1B sponsorship for project management roles. Healthcare systems like Dartmouth Health and technology firms in the Manchester-Nashua corridor also appear in DOL labor condition application records for project management consultant positions. Consulting firms with state government or private-sector contracts in Concord round out the sponsoring employer pool.
Which visa types are most common for project management consultant roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project management consultants in New Hampshire, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a related field such as business, engineering, or information systems. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN visas under the Management Consultant category. Candidates already holding L-1 intracompany transferee status through a multinational employer are another pathway seen in this role.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most project management consultant sponsorship jobs?
The Nashua-Manchester corridor accounts for the largest share of project management consultant sponsorship activity in New Hampshire, driven by defense contractors, IT services firms, and professional services companies concentrated there. Concord, as the state capital, generates demand through government-adjacent consulting work. Portsmouth has a smaller but active market tied to its technology and financial services employers, particularly those with regional or national client bases.
How to find project management consultant visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to show employers who sponsor visas, which makes it more efficient than broad job searches for project management consultant roles in New Hampshire. You can narrow results to New Hampshire to surface active openings at defense contractors, healthcare organizations, and tech firms in the Manchester-Nashua area. Migrate Mate also provides context on visa categories commonly used for project management consultant positions, helping you assess fit before applying.
Are there state-specific considerations for project management consultants pursuing visa sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax, which affects how employers structure compensation packages and prevailing wage compliance under DOL requirements for H-1B filings. The state's proximity to Boston means many New Hampshire-based consultants work in regional or national roles, and some employers file LCAs covering multiple worksites. Project Management Professional certification is widely expected by defense and healthcare employers in the state, strengthening the specialty occupation classification for visa purposes.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project management consultant jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
