Which companies sponsor visas for technical solutions engineers in New Hampshire?
Established technology and defense employers in New Hampshire with a history of H-1B sponsorship include Oracle (through its Dyn division in Manchester), BAE Systems, and Segra. Mid-size SaaS and cloud infrastructure companies based in Nashua and Bedford have also filed LCAs for technical solutions engineer roles. Sponsorship activity tends to be concentrated among larger employers with dedicated HR and legal resources to manage the process.
Which visa types are most common for technical solutions engineer roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for technical solutions engineers in New Hampshire, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related engineering field. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering classifications. Candidates already on OPT or STEM OPT extension can work before an H-1B is filed.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most technical solutions engineer sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua account for the majority of technical solutions engineer sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Manchester hosts Oracle's Dyn office and a growing cluster of cybersecurity and cloud companies. Nashua, often called the 'Gate City,' has a long-standing technology corridor with firms in enterprise software and defense contracting. Bedford and Portsmouth also see occasional postings, particularly from regional managed services and IT consultancies.
How to find technical solutions engineer visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find technical solutions engineer roles in New Hampshire where employers are open to visa sponsorship. The platform filters jobs specifically by sponsorship willingness, so you're not manually vetting each posting. Given the concentration of employers in the Manchester-Nashua corridor, filtering by New Hampshire and using the technical solutions engineer search on Migrate Mate surfaces the most relevant active opportunities.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for technical solutions engineers in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax, which influences where technology employers choose to base operations and can make total compensation packages more competitive when negotiating with sponsored candidates. The University of New Hampshire and Southern New Hampshire University produce engineering and IT graduates who sometimes transition from OPT to employer-sponsored H-1B status locally. Employers filing LCAs must pay the Department of Labor prevailing wage for the Manchester-Nashua-Bedford metropolitan area, which reflects regional market rates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical solutions engineer jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
