Ready to push the limits of what’s possible? Join Sanofi in one of our corporate functions and you can play a vital part in the performance of our entire business while helping to make an impact on millions around the world.
Join the digital engine driving Sanofi’s transformation - where AI, automation, and bold experimentation power faster science and smarter decisions. Here, you’ll help build the first biopharma company powered by AI at scale.
We are seeking an AI Product Line Owner to lead a centralized Sanofi workflow execution platform supporting AI, analytics, and domain research workflows across R&D.
This role owns the core platform responsible for orchestrating containerized and distributed workloads across cloud and high-performance computing (HPC) environments. The platform integrates with enterprise research data systems and serves as the foundation for downstream AI/ML, Omics, Chemistry, CMC, Portfolio, and Clinical workflows.
You will partner closely with platform engineers, infrastructure teams, and scientific stakeholders to ensure the platform is scalable, reliable, compliant, and easy to build on. This is a foundational platform ownership role.
Main Responsibilities:
Product Ownership
- Own the roadmap and backlog for the Sanofi workflow execution platform.
- Define requirements for workflow orchestration, runtime execution, APIs, metadata, logging, and observability.
- Balance platform reliability, scalability, and technical evolution with new capability development.
- Translate domain and engineering needs into clear, actionable product requirements.
Platform Integration
- Define and manage integration between the workflow platform and enterprise research data systems.
- Ensure clean contracts for data access, metadata exchange, lineage, and governance.
- Partner with security, infrastructure, and data teams to ensure enterprise-grade compliance and access control.
HPC & Distributed Compute Enablement
- Own product requirements for large-scale compute execution across cloud and hybrid HPC environments.
- Define user experience for launching, monitoring, and troubleshooting compute-intensive workloads.
- Partner with infrastructure teams to align workload requirements with resource and cost models.
Delivery & Execution
- Lead agile product delivery in partnership with engineering and Scrum leadership.
- Maintain a clear, prioritized backlog aligned to strategic objectives.
- Coordinate platform maintenance, operational support, and release planning.
- Proactively manage cross-team dependencies and platform sequencing risks.
Continuous Improvement
- Monitor platform adoption, stability, and operational metrics.
- Incorporate user feedback to improve usability and performance.
- Ensure the platform evolves to support expanding AI and domain-specific workloads.
About You
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Product Management or Product Ownership, ideally in platform, infrastructure, or scientific computing environments.
- Experience delivering products used by technical or scientific users.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and distributed systems.

- Proven ability to manage cross-functional dependencies in complex enterprise settings.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum-based delivery.
- Familiarity with APIs, platform architecture, observability, and operational resilience.
- Experience with data platforms, ML workflows, or regulated systems is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Clear product vision articulation and strategic thinking.
- Strong stakeholder management across engineering, science, and leadership.
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced environments.
Education
- Bachelors degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
- Advanced scientific or computational background is a plus.

Which companies sponsor visas for AI product engineers in New Jersey?
Companies with consistent H-1B sponsorship histories for AI and software engineering roles in New Jersey include Johnson & Johnson, Cognizant, Prudential Financial, Merck, and Conduent. Financial services firms in Jersey City, including those with back-office and technology operations, also file regularly. Sponsorship patterns are publicly searchable through the Department of Labor's OFLC disclosure data.
Which visa types are most common for AI product engineer roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for AI product engineers in New Jersey, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field. Candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT extensions frequently transition through employer-sponsored H-1B petitions. The O-1A is an option for candidates with a demonstrable record of distinction in the field.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most AI product engineer sponsorship jobs?
Jersey City leads due to its proximity to New York City's financial and tech sectors, making it a hub for companies with cross-Hudson operations. Newark, Parsippany, and Princeton also see meaningful activity, particularly from pharmaceutical and enterprise software employers. The Edison and Piscataway corridor has a notable concentration of technology and consulting firms that sponsor engineering roles.
How to find ai product engineer visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, letting you search AI product engineer roles in New Jersey without sorting through positions that don't sponsor. Because sponsoring employers in this role often work in pharma, fintech, and enterprise software, filtering by those industries on Migrate Mate helps narrow results to the most relevant opportunities in the state.
Are there any state-specific considerations for AI product engineers seeking visa sponsorship in New Jersey?
New Jersey employers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements tied to the specific work location, and wages in the Jersey City and Newark metro areas generally reflect the high cost of living in the greater New York metropolitan region. The state also benefits from a strong university pipeline, with Rutgers University and Princeton University producing AI and computer science graduates who pursue OPT and eventual H-1B sponsorship with in-state employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored ai product engineer jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
