Which companies sponsor visas for care managers in New Jersey?
Large integrated health systems are the most consistent sponsors in New Jersey. RWJBarnabas Health, Hackensack Meridian Health, Atlantic Health System, and CarePoint Health have all filed for care manager positions through employer-sponsored visa programs. Federally Qualified Health Centers and managed care organizations operating across the state also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data as sponsors for care management roles.
Which visa types are most common for care manager roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for care managers in New Jersey, provided the role requires at minimum a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social work, nursing, or healthcare administration. Care managers with a registered nurse license may also qualify under the TN visa if they are Canadian or Mexican citizens. EB-3 immigrant visas are another pathway some employers pursue for permanent placement.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most care manager sponsorship jobs?
Newark leads in volume given its density of major hospital systems and federally qualified health centers. Edison, Hackensack, Morristown, and Trenton also have consistent demand, driven by regional medical centers and managed care networks. The northern counties bordering New York City tend to see higher sponsorship activity because employers there compete with a larger pool of internationally trained candidates already working in the metro area.
How to find care manager visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters care manager openings specifically to employers who have a documented history of visa sponsorship, saving you from sorting through postings where international candidates are not considered. You can narrow results to New Jersey and care manager roles directly. Given how competitive health system hiring is in this state, focusing your applications on confirmed sponsors through Migrate Mate significantly improves your chances of reaching the interview stage.
Are there any state-specific considerations for care manager visa sponsorship in New Jersey?
New Jersey's prevailing wage requirements and its density of managed Medicaid programs mean employers often need care managers with specific licensure, such as Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor credentials, which can affect visa petition strength. Rutgers University and Seton Hall University produce a pipeline of candidates for these roles, so international applicants benefit from highlighting specialized clinical coordination experience that distinguishes them from local graduates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored care manager jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
