Which companies sponsor visas for finance associates in New Jersey?
Several large financial institutions and corporate finance departments in New Jersey have sponsored visas for finance associates. Prudential Financial, headquartered in Newark, has a consistent international hiring history. Broadridge Financial Solutions in Newark, Johnson and Johnson's finance division in New Brunswick, and various asset management firms in Princeton and Parsippany have also appeared in Department of Labor disclosure data for finance-related sponsorships.
Which visa types are most common for finance associate roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for finance associates in New Jersey, as these roles typically require a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa instead. Those already on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT can work for a sponsoring employer before the H-1B visa petition is filed.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most finance associate sponsorship jobs?
Newark and Jersey City account for the largest concentration of finance associate sponsorship activity in New Jersey, given their proximity to New York City's financial district and the presence of major corporate headquarters. Princeton sees demand from asset management and financial research firms. Parsippany and Iselin also have finance associate openings tied to insurance, accounting, and financial services companies with established international hiring programs.
How to find finance associate visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for international candidates searching for visa sponsorship roles. You can filter by state and job category to surface finance associate positions in New Jersey where employers have demonstrated sponsorship history. This is more targeted than general job searches because the listings are screened for sponsorship relevance, saving time for candidates on OPT, H-1B cap gaps, or other time-sensitive work authorization situations.
Are there state-specific considerations for finance associates seeking sponsorship in New Jersey?
New Jersey's financial services sector benefits from its positioning between New York City and Philadelphia, drawing mid-size and large employers who regularly hire from international talent pools, particularly from top regional programs at Rutgers University and Stevens Institute of Technology. Finance associate roles often fall under USCIS specialty occupation criteria, but the specific degree field and job duties must align closely with the role to support a successful H-1B petition.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance associate jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
