Tips for Finding H-1B1 Singapore Sponsorship Jobs in New Jersey
Verify your degree meets specialty occupation standards
The H-1B1 visa requires a degree in a field directly related to the role. Pull the O*NET occupation profile for your target job title and confirm your Singapore qualification maps to the listed educational requirement before applying.
Target New Jersey employers with LCA filing history
Use Migrate Mate to filter employers in New Jersey by H-1B1 visa Labor Condition Application filings. This tells you which companies have already navigated the DOL certification process and are set up to sponsor again.
Focus your search on the Route 1 pharma corridor
Life sciences employers between Princeton and New Brunswick, including companies in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, consistently file LCAs for specialty occupation roles. Targeting this geography narrows your search to high-density sponsorship territory.
Confirm the employer files your LCA before your start date
Unlike the H-1B visa, the H-1B1 visa has no USCIS application requirement, but your employer still must obtain DOL-certified LCA before you can begin work. Ask during offer negotiations exactly when they plan to file and what their typical turnaround is.
Use OFLC Wage Search to validate your offer
Before accepting an offer in northern New Jersey versus the Princeton area, run the OFLC Wage Search for your occupation code and county. Prevailing wage levels vary significantly across the state, and your offer must meet the certified wage in the specific work location listed on the LCA.

Which industries in New Jersey sponsor the most H-1B1 Singapore visas?
Pharmaceutical and life sciences employers along the Route 1 corridor between Princeton and New Brunswick file the highest volume of H-1B1 Singapore LCAs in New Jersey. Financial services firms in Jersey City and information technology employers across the Newark and Parsippany areas are also active sponsors, particularly for software engineering, data analysis, and compliance roles.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Jersey City and Newark concentrate the most financial services and technology sponsorship roles, benefiting from proximity to New York City. Princeton and New Brunswick anchor the pharmaceutical and research corridor. Parsippany and Bridgewater also carry a significant share of IT and consulting sponsorships from multinational employers with New Jersey regional offices.
What types of roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in New Jersey?
Roles that qualify must meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning they require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In New Jersey, this typically includes software engineers, financial analysts, pharmaceutical scientists, clinical research associates, data engineers, and compliance officers. Generalist roles where any degree field is accepted do not meet the H-1B1 visa specialty occupation requirement.
How do I find H-1B1 Singapore jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate lets you search for New Jersey employers with verified H-1B1 visa LCA filing history, so you can focus on companies that have already demonstrated willingness to sponsor. Filter by industry and location to identify active sponsors in your target sector. Reviewing LCA disclosure data also shows which job titles and work locations a specific employer has certified in the past.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
