Which visa types are most common for product analyst roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product analyst positions in New Jersey, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field like statistics, computer science, or business analytics. Some candidates enter on OPT or STEM OPT extensions before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may also explore the TN visa if the role qualifies under the USMCA.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most product analyst sponsorship jobs?
Jersey City has the highest concentration of sponsored product analyst roles, driven by its dense cluster of financial services and fintech employers. Newark is active as well, particularly with larger corporations and consulting firms that maintain regional headquarters there. U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
