About the role and team
Uber Advertising is rewriting the playbook for how brands connect with consumers in the physical world. As a Senior Client Partner for our Strategic Verticals, you will be a founding member of a high-stakes division, tasked with building ads partnerships from the ground up with the world's largest Tech, Telco, and B2B brands. This isn't a role for those who want a polished roadmap; it's for builders who are energized by the messiness of creating a new business within a global giant.
The pace is relentless and the ambiguity is high, but the impact is tangible. You will navigate complex internal and external landscapes, turning "no" into "how" and "impossible" into "delivered." We are looking for a strategic seller who possesses the grit to pursue long-term partnerships and the adaptability to pivot as our product suite evolves. If you thrive on ownership and are ready to carry the weight of high-pressure decisions that shape the future of Uber's advertising business, you will find your place here.
- Build and grow long-term partnerships by deeply understanding what matters most to our Tech, Telco, and B2B customers, moving beyond transactional sales to create mutual value.
- Navigate the internal complexity and shifting priorities of a newly formed division to unlock growth opportunities across both our Mobility and Delivery platforms.
- Manage high-value pipelines with discipline and persistence, recognizing that securing trust with C-level marketing executives often requires months of creative problem-solving.
- Adapt your sales strategy based on imperfect information and evolving market dynamics, as there is no pre-existing playbook for our unique advertising offering.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Operations to resolve blockers, influence product roadmaps, and deliver bespoke solutions at scale.
- Communicate with clarity and negotiate confidently through tough partner conversations, ensuring Uber's value proposition is differentiated in a competitive digital landscape.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of full-time experience in end-to-end Enterprise or Large Customer Digital Advertising Sales.
- Proven track record of selling complex advertising solutions to large-scale enterprise brands and organizations.
- Experience in prospecting and winning net-new partnerships within the technology, telco, or B2B sectors.
- Strong educational background or equivalent professional experience in business, marketing, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced skills in value creation and capture, with the ability to craft creative deal terms in challenging negotiations.
- Expert-level storytelling ability, using data to quantify opportunities and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Demonstrated resilience and resourcefulness in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments.
- Strong leadership mindset with a history of raising the bar for team performance and accountability.
- Systems-thinking approach to managing a large portfolio of accounts and identifying market trends before they occur.

Which companies sponsor visas for client partners in New York?
Large technology companies, consulting firms, and advertising holding groups are the most consistent sponsors for client partner roles in New York. Companies like Salesforce, Google, IBM, Publicis Groupe, and WPP have a documented history of H-1B visa sponsorship in client-facing and account management functions. Enterprise software vendors and management consulting firms headquartered or with major offices in Manhattan tend to file the highest volume of sponsorship petitions for these roles.
Which visa types are most common for client partner roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for client partner roles in New York, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as business, marketing, or communications. Candidates already holding L-1 visa intracompany transferee status through a multinational employer are another common pathway. O-1 visas occasionally apply for individuals with extraordinary achievements in their field, though this requires substantial documentation.
Which cities in New York have the most client partner sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the overwhelming majority of client partner sponsorship opportunities in New York, driven by its concentration of advertising agencies, technology offices, financial services firms, and media companies. Brooklyn has seen growth from technology startups and creative agencies. Outside New York City, Buffalo and Rochester have smaller but active markets tied to regional healthcare systems, manufacturing clients, and financial institutions that hire client-facing account roles.
How to find client partner visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it a practical starting point for international candidates targeting client partner roles in New York. You can narrow results to New York and search within client partnership, account management, and enterprise sales functions. Because sponsorship willingness varies significantly by employer, focusing on companies with a documented H-1B filing history in New York is a more reliable approach than applying broadly.
Are there any state-specific considerations for client partners pursuing sponsorship in New York?
New York employers filing Labor Condition Applications for H-1B client partners must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the specific metropolitan area, which in the New York City metro is among the highest in the country. New York's dense concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters means many client partner roles are tied to enterprise accounts that demand senior experience, which can strengthen a sponsorship case by demonstrating specialized qualifications beyond a generalist business background.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored client partner jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
