We’re looking for an iOS Engineer to help us build the next generation of products that go beyond just ID, enabling our members to seamlessly navigate an increasingly connected world with digital identity at the core. As a Software Engineer at CLEAR, you will contribute to the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of applications that enhance our platform—one that interconnects dozens of attributes and qualifications while keeping member privacy and security at the forefront.
This role is in the Members org at CLEAR, which focuses on building amazing consumer experiences in the CLEAR Mobile iOS app in close collaboration with various engineering and product teams across the company. Mobile is becoming an increasingly central part of our user experience, and this role provides an opportunity to have a significant impact on how members interact with CLEAR.

Responsibilities
What you'll do:
- Develop and deliver code across the mobile stack, building delightful user experiences and championing engineering excellence through best practices in app architecture, testing, observability and documentation
- Partner with product, design and other stakeholders to uncover requirements, innovate, and solve complex problems
- Contribute to advancing our capabilities across a wide array of industries and domains while gaining hands-on experience with privacy, security, data modeling, and architecture
- Take ownership of your work, contribute to architectural decisions, and continuously seek ways to improve technology and processes at CLEAR
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
What you have:
- 3+ years of software development experience (Swift)
- Experience with mobile application development, and familiarity with:
- Agile development environments
- Articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborating with teammates and contributing to a culture of learning and growth
- Championing best engineering practices for iOS development within your team
- Curiosity about technology, a belief in continuous learning, and the ability to work autonomously to figure out what's important

The total compensation range for this role is $180,000 - $220,000, depending on levels of skills and experience.
This range represents the combined base salary, and new hire equity package (in Restricted Stock Units) for this position at CLEAR. Additionally, this role will be eligible for refresh equity grants as part of our ongoing compensation program. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience, and performance. All stock based compensation will be subject to the terms and conditions of applicable agreements.
