Which companies sponsor visas for operations supervisors in New York?
Large logistics and distribution companies such as Amazon, FedEx, and UPS have a documented history of sponsoring work visas for operations supervisors in New York. Major healthcare systems including NewYork-Presbyterian and Northwell Health also hire sponsored supervisors for facilities and supply chain operations. Manufacturing firms in upstate New York and financial services companies in Manhattan round out the main sponsoring employers for this role.
Which visa types are most common for operations supervisor roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most common visa for operations supervisors where the role requires a specialized bachelor's degree, such as supply chain management, industrial engineering, or business operations. The EB-3 employment-based green card is frequently used for supervisory roles that qualify under skilled worker criteria. Some multinational employers also use the L-1A for supervisors transferring from an overseas office into a New York management role.
Which cities in New York have the most operations supervisor sponsorship jobs?
New York City accounts for the largest share of operations supervisor sponsorship activity, particularly in logistics, e-commerce fulfillment, and corporate operations within Manhattan and the outer boroughs. Buffalo and Rochester have active manufacturing and distribution sectors that generate supervisory openings. Albany sees demand tied to government contractors and healthcare operations, while Long Island has a concentration of aerospace and defense employers with supervisory hiring needs.
How to find operations supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters operations supervisor roles in New York by visa sponsorship availability, saving you from sorting through listings that won't support your work authorization. The platform surfaces employers with a verified history of sponsoring visas for supervisory operations positions across New York City, Buffalo, and other metro areas, so you can focus your applications on realistic opportunities.
Are there state-specific considerations for operations supervisor visa sponsorship in New York?
New York's high cost of living means prevailing wage requirements for H-1B operations supervisor roles are among the highest in the country, particularly for positions in New York City and its suburbs. Employers filing Labor Condition Applications must meet these wage thresholds, which can influence how many sponsorship openings smaller companies post. New York also has a strong pipeline of international graduates from programs at NYU, Cornell, and Columbia who compete for these sponsored roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations supervisor jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
