Which companies sponsor visas for operations supervisors in Texas?
Large employers with established immigration programs are the most consistent sponsors. In Texas, that includes Amazon (fulfillment and logistics centers across DFW and Houston), ExxonMobil and Chevron (refinery and plant operations), Tyson Foods and JBS USA (food processing facilities), and companies like Lockheed Martin and Raytheon in the defense manufacturing sector. These employers file H-1B visa and other work visas regularly and have dedicated HR infrastructure to support sponsorship.
Which visa types are most common for operations supervisor roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most commonly sponsored visa for operations supervisors, but it requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as industrial engineering, supply chain management, or business operations must be a genuine requirement. The TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or engineering categories. The L-1A is relevant for international managers transferring within a multinational company to a Texas-based office.
Which cities in Texas have the most operations supervisor sponsorship jobs?
Houston leads due to its concentration of energy, petrochemical, and port logistics operations. Dallas-Fort Worth follows closely, driven by distribution, aerospace, and corporate headquarters with large operational footprints. San Antonio has a growing manufacturing and military logistics sector, and Austin's expanding tech and semiconductor manufacturing base is generating increasing demand for operations supervisors who can oversee production and fulfillment at scale.
How to find operations supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa sponsorship roles, including operations supervisor positions in Texas. You can filter by state and role to see employers that have sponsored work visas historically. Because operations supervisor sponsorship is concentrated in logistics, energy, and manufacturing, focusing your search on those industries within Texas will surface the most relevant opportunities on Migrate Mate's job board.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for operations supervisor visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since DOL wage determinations are based on gross compensation. Operations supervisor roles in Texas are concentrated in right-to-work environment industries where union membership is low, meaning employers have more flexibility in structuring roles. Candidates with degrees from Texas A&M, UT Austin, or University of Houston in industrial or systems engineering are well-positioned, as those programs have pipelines directly into Texas-based employers who sponsor visas.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations supervisor jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
