Which companies sponsor visas for operations supervisors in Utah?
Companies with established sponsorship track records for operations roles in Utah include Amazon, Procter & Gamble, eBay, and aerospace manufacturers like Northrop Grumman and Orbital ATK (now Northrop) in Ogden. Large distribution and logistics operators in the Salt Lake City metro also file H-1B visa Labor Condition Applications regularly for supervisory and operations management positions.
Which visa types are most common for operations supervisor roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most commonly used visa for operations supervisor roles, provided the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as industrial engineering, supply chain management, or operations management. Some employers also sponsor L-1A visas for supervisors transferring from a foreign affiliate. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management categories.
Which cities in Utah have the most operations supervisor sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City is the primary market, anchoring most of Utah's logistics, tech operations, and consumer goods activity. Ogden is a secondary hub with strong aerospace and defense manufacturing, generating demand for experienced operations supervisors. Provo and the broader Utah Valley corridor contribute additional opportunities through manufacturing and fulfillment operations tied to the region's growing tech sector.
How to find operations supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify operations supervisor openings in Utah without sorting through roles that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and job category to surface relevant listings from employers in Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Provo who have active sponsorship programs for operations and supply chain roles.
Are there any state-specific considerations for operations supervisor visa sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program are determined by the Department of Labor's wage data for the Salt Lake City and Ogden metropolitan areas, which tend to be lower than coastal markets, making sponsorship more accessible for some employers. Utah's growing logistics and aerospace sectors also mean more employers have existing immigration infrastructure, reducing the overhead of initiating a first-time sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations supervisor jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
