Which companies sponsor visas for operations supervisors in Indiana?
Large employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship activity in Indiana include Cummins, Eli Lilly, Amazon, Subaru of Indiana Automotive, and Salesforce. Manufacturing and logistics companies tend to be the most active sponsors for operations supervisor roles, particularly those with global operations and existing international workforce programs. Sponsorship availability varies by facility and hiring cycle, so checking employer-specific LCA filings on the DOL disclosure database gives the most accurate picture.
Which visa types are most common for operations supervisor roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa for operations supervisors in Indiana, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field, such as industrial engineering, supply chain management, or business operations. The L-1A intracompany transferee visa is another path for candidates moving from a foreign affiliate of an Indiana-based employer into a supervisory capacity. TN visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management roles.
Which cities in Indiana have the most operations supervisor sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis is the primary market, concentrating corporate headquarters, distribution centers, and advanced manufacturing facilities that generate the most operations supervisor openings with sponsorship potential. Fort Wayne and Kokomo have strong manufacturing bases, particularly in automotive supply chain, where supervisory roles are common. Columbus is notable for Cummins' global headquarters and associated operations staffing. Terre Haute and Evansville offer smaller but active logistics and manufacturing hiring markets.
How to find operations supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, making it straightforward to identify operations supervisor roles in Indiana where employers are open to sponsoring international candidates. Rather than sorting through thousands of general postings, Migrate Mate surfaces positions from companies with active sponsorship programs. Focusing your search on Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and Columbus will surface the highest concentration of relevant openings in manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain operations.
What should international candidates know about operations supervisor roles in Indiana specifically?
Indiana's operations supervisor market is heavily tied to automotive manufacturing, pharmaceutical production, and logistics, which means employers often prioritize candidates with industry-specific experience rather than generalist management backgrounds. Because H-1B specialty occupation approval depends on demonstrating that the role requires a degree in a specific discipline, candidates should ensure their job offer clearly reflects technical oversight responsibilities. Indiana's relatively lower cost of living also means prevailing wage benchmarks set by the DOL can differ significantly from coastal markets, which affects LCA filings.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations supervisor jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
